Free ATS Resume Checker for Salesforce Developers

Recruiters hiring Salesforce developers look first for Apex, LWC, SOQL and the clouds you have worked on, then for certifications and real implementation work. Upload your resume to see how it reads, which Salesforce skills it picks up, and what to improve before you apply.

By uploading, you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy. Your CV is saved to a RoleMapr profile under the email in it, and that profile is visible to recruiters - even before you create an account.

What to highlight at your experience level

Fresher / 0-2 years

Show hands-on Apex, SOQL and at least one Lightning Web Component, even from a Trailhead superbadge or personal org. Mention Platform Developer I or Administrator certification if you have it, or say when you plan to take it.

2-5 years

Name the clouds and the kind of org you worked on - Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud - and the features you built end to end. Show integrations, trigger frameworks, test coverage and deployments with Salesforce DX or a CI/CD tool.

5+ years

Show design decisions - data model, sharing and security model, integration patterns and governor-limit trade-offs. Mention orgs you led, code reviews, release management and developers you mentored.

Common Salesforce Developer resume mistakes

  • Listing every cloud and product you have heard of. Recruiters will ask about each one, so keep only what you actually built on.
  • Writing "worked on Salesforce" with no mention of Apex, LWC, Flows or integrations - it reads like admin work, not development.
  • Leaving out certifications, or listing them without the exact name. "Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I" is what recruiters search for.
  • No sense of scale - number of users, record volumes or business units the org supported.
  • Putting skills in a sidebar or graphic rating bars that ATS software skips. Plain text in a skills section reads best.

Weak vs strong resume bullet points

The strong versions say what you did, with which tool, and what changed because of it.

Weak: Developed Apex triggers and classes.

Strong: Rewrote 6 legacy Apex triggers into a single handler framework with bulk-safe SOQL, removing governor-limit errors during nightly data loads of around 50,000 records.

Weak: Worked on Lightning components.

Strong: Built an LWC case console for a Service Cloud rollout used by 200 support agents, cutting the clicks needed to log a case from 9 to 3.

Weak: Did integration with external system.

Strong: Integrated Salesforce with the client's SAP order system using REST APIs and Named Credentials, so sales reps saw order status in the opportunity page instead of emailing the back office.

Frequently asked questions

Which certification is most useful for a Salesforce developer resume?

Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I is the one most developer job descriptions ask for, and Salesforce Certified Administrator is a common first step. Platform Developer II and JavaScript Developer I help for senior roles. Recruiters often check certifications on your Trailhead profile, so add the link.

Can I get a Salesforce developer job as a fresher?

Yes, many service companies in India hire freshers into Salesforce practices. A resume with Trailhead badges, a superbadge or two, a certification and a small project in a free developer org gives recruiters something concrete to look at.

Is this resume checker free?

Yes. You can upload your resume and see the results without creating an account. If you sign up later with the same email, the full report and your job matches are saved to your profile.

What does the checker look at?

It reads your resume the way an ATS and a recruiter would: the role it fits, your experience level, the skills it finds, and how clearly your work and results come across. You get strengths and areas to improve.

What happens to my resume after I upload it?

It is saved to a RoleMapr profile under the email in your resume, and that profile is visible to recruiters looking for candidates. We email that address a link to remove it at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details.
