US staffing companies hiring IT recruiters look for the tax terms and visa types you work with - W2, C2C, H-1B - the job boards and ATS you use, and your submittal and placement numbers. Upload your resume to see how it reads, which US IT recruiting skills it shows, and what to improve before you apply.
By uploading, you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy. Your CV is saved to a RoleMapr profile under the email in it, and that profile is visible to recruiters - even before you create an account.

What to highlight at your experience level
Fresher / 0-2 years
Show that you understand US tax terms and work authorisations, the job boards you can source from, and your comfort with US time-zone shifts and phone screening. Training or a few months at a staffing firm counts.
2-5 years
Show submittals per week, interviews and placements, the technologies you recruit for, and whether you worked with direct clients, implementation partners or vendors. Mention your ATS, such as Ceipal, JobDiva or Bullhorn.
5+ years
Show team and account scope - lead or manager roles, accounts or MSP programmes you handled, fill rates and the recruiters you trained. Mention any account management or bench sales work alongside recruiting.
Common US IT Recruiter resume mistakes
- Using tax terms loosely. Mixing up W2, 1099 and C2C or work authorisations on your resume raises doubts with staffing managers.
- No submittal or placement numbers. Staffing firms look for weekly submittals, interviews and starts.
- Not naming the technologies you hire for, such as Java, .NET, data or cloud roles. Hiring managers want recruiters who know their domain.
- Leaving out the job boards and ATS you use - Dice, Monster, LinkedIn, Ceipal, JobDiva or Bullhorn.
- Long paragraphs in a decorative template. Short bullets in a plain single-column layout are easier for both ATS and managers to scan.
Weak vs strong resume bullet points
The strong versions say what you did, with which tool, and what changed because of it.
Weak: Sourced candidates from job portals.
Strong: Sourced Java and cloud consultants on Dice, Monster and LinkedIn with Boolean search, making 10-12 quality submittals a week to tier-1 vendors and implementation partners.
Weak: Handled W2 and C2C requirements.
Strong: Recruited for W2 and C2C contract roles across H-1B, Green Card and US citizen candidates, checking work authorisation and obtaining right-to-represent before every submission.
Weak: Achieved targets.
Strong: Placed 14 consultants in a year on contract roles for banking and healthcare clients, tracking pipeline and rates in Ceipal and negotiating margins within account limits.

What is the difference between W2 and C2C in US IT recruitment?
On W2, the consultant is an employee of the staffing company, which runs US payroll and withholds taxes. On C2C (corp-to-corp), the consultant works through their own or an employer's corporation, which invoices the staffing company. Many H-1B consultants work on C2C through their employer, so recruiters need to check who holds the work authorisation.
Can I become a US IT recruiter in India without experience?
Yes. Many staffing companies in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Noida and other cities hire freshers and train them on US tax terms, visas and job boards. Good spoken English, willingness to work night shifts and basic knowledge of IT roles help you get shortlisted.
Is this resume checker free?
Yes. You can upload your resume and see the results without creating an account. If you sign up later with the same email, the full report and your job matches are saved to your profile.
What does the checker look at?
It reads your resume the way an ATS and a recruiter would: the role it fits, your experience level, the skills it finds, and how clearly your work and results come across. You get strengths and areas to improve.
What happens to my resume after I upload it?
It is saved to a RoleMapr profile under the email in your resume, and that profile is visible to recruiters looking for candidates. We email that address a link to remove it at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details.
