Free ATS Resume Checker for Customer Success Managers

Recruiters hiring customer success managers look for the accounts and revenue you managed, and how you kept customers - renewals, churn, expansion and adoption. They also check for SaaS experience and tools like Gainsight, Salesforce or Zendesk. Upload your resume to see how it reads, which customer success skills it shows, and what to improve before you apply.

By uploading, you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy. Your CV is saved to a RoleMapr profile under the email in it, and that profile is visible to recruiters - even before you create an account.

What to highlight at your experience level

Fresher / 0-2 years

Show customer-facing work from support, onboarding or account roles - the number of customers you handled, tickets resolved, CSAT and anything you did to help customers use the product better.

2-5 years

Show your book of business - number of accounts, ARR managed, renewal rate and expansion revenue. Mention onboarding programmes, QBRs and how you spotted and handled at-risk accounts.

5+ years

Show the customer segment or region you owned, the team you led, and the playbooks, health scores or processes you built that improved retention. Recruiters look for impact on net revenue retention and on how the company runs CS.

Common Customer Success Manager resume mistakes

  • Writing a support resume for a CSM role - ticket counts alone do not show retention, expansion or account ownership.
  • Leaving out your book of business - number of accounts, ARR and customer size (SMB, mid-market or enterprise).
  • No retention numbers. Renewal rate, churn, expansion and adoption are the metrics CS is judged on.
  • Not naming the product type or market - SaaS, fintech, HR tech; India, US or global customers.
  • Using tables, icons or two-column layouts that ATS software can misread. A simple single-column PDF is safest.

Weak vs strong resume bullet points

The strong versions say what you did, with which tool, and what changed because of it.

Weak: Managed customer accounts.

Strong: Managed 45 mid-market accounts worth about USD 1.2 million ARR for a SaaS marketing platform, with a 94% gross renewal rate across the year.

Weak: Helped customers with onboarding.

Strong: Rebuilt the onboarding plan for new enterprise customers with fixed milestones and weekly check-ins, cutting average time-to-go-live from 10 weeks to about 6.

Weak: Worked on reducing churn.

Strong: Set up a health score in Gainsight using product usage and support ticket data, which flagged at-risk accounts earlier and helped save 7 renewals in two quarters.

Frequently asked questions

How do I move from customer support to customer success?

Highlight work beyond tickets - onboarding customers, training them, handling escalations for key accounts or spotting upsell opportunities. Show numbers like CSAT and accounts handled, and mention any CS tools you used.

Which metrics should a customer success resume include?

The common ones are accounts or ARR managed, gross and net renewal rate, churn, expansion revenue, product adoption and CSAT or NPS. Use the ones you actually owned and say over what period.

Is this resume checker free?

Yes. You can upload your resume and see the results without creating an account. If you sign up later with the same email, the full report and your job matches are saved to your profile.

What does the checker look at?

It reads your resume the way an ATS and a recruiter would: the role it fits, your experience level, the skills it finds, and how clearly your work and results come across. You get strengths and areas to improve.

What happens to my resume after I upload it?

It is saved to a RoleMapr profile under the email in your resume, and that profile is visible to recruiters looking for candidates. We email that address a link to remove it at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details.
